  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs helps bind the mixture for perfect texture.
  • 1/4 cup green onions finely chopped, adds freshness and a pop of color.
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced, provides a warm, spicy flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic minced, a must for that rich aroma and taste.
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce adds depth and umami to the pork balls.
  • 1 tbsp mirin a touch of sweetness to balance the flavors.
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil for a hint of nuttiness.
  • Salt and pepper to taste, essential for seasoning.
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce for glazing and extra flavor.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Large Bowl

Method

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This helps to get those pork balls nice and golden!
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, breadcrumbs, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  5. Step 5: In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the pork balls with teriyaki sauce to glaze.
  6. Step 6: Remove from the oven and serve warm, drizzled with additional teriyaki sauce if desired. Enjoy every bite!
