Ingredients
  

For the Tomato Salad
  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp ponzu sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds toasted
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro or basil leaves for garnish

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes and sliced red onion.
  2. Step 2: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, ponzu sauce, and rice vinegar until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Pour the dressing over the tomato and onion mixture, and gently toss to combine.
  4. Step 4: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds on top and garnish with fresh cilantro or basil leaves if desired.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can last up to 2 days in the fridge. Keep dressing separate until ready to serve for best results.
