- Step 3: Add soy sauce and mirin to the hot green tea, stirring to combine.
- Step 4: Pour the tea mixture over the rice in your bowl.
- Step 5: Top with chopped pickled plum, nori strips, and green onions.
- Step 6: Add any additional desired toppings, such as grilled fish or sesame seeds.
- Step 7: Serve immediately and enjoy your warm bowl of Ochazuke!
Notes
If you have leftovers, store the rice separately from the green tea mixture. The rice can last in the fridge for about 3 days, while the tea is best enjoyed fresh.
