- Step 1: In a bowl, combine the white miso paste, sake, mirin, and sugar. Mix until smooth.
- Step 2: Place the black cod fillets in a shallow dish and coat them with the miso mixture. Ensure the fillets are evenly covered.
- Step 3: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 24 hours, or up to 48 hours for a deeper flavor.
- Step 4: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Step 5: Remove the fillets from the marinade, gently wiping off any excess miso.
- Step 6: Place the fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Step 8: Serve hot and enjoy the rich flavors!
Notes
Leftover Miso Cod can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, gently warm it in the oven.
