  • 1 whole chicken, spatchcocked The star of the show!
  • 1/2 cup honey Adds sweetness

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Step 2: In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  3. Step 3: Season the spatchcocked chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Step 4: Place the chicken on a baking sheet and brush the honey soy glaze generously over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  5. Step 5: Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
  6. Step 6: Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the chicken for up to 3 months.
