Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp hojicha tea leaves This roasted green tea gives the drink its unique flavor.
  • 4 cups cold water Fresh, cold water is essential for the best infusion.

  • Fine Mesh Sieve or Tea Strainer

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In a large pitcher or jar, combine the hojicha tea leaves and cold water.
  2. Step 2: Stir gently to ensure the tea leaves are fully saturated.
  3. Step 3: Cover the pitcher or jar and refrigerate for 6 to 12 hours, depending on how strong you’d like the flavor to be.
  4. Step 4: After steeping, strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve or a tea strainer to remove the leaves.
  5. Step 5: Serve the cold brew hojicha over ice, or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Enjoy!

Notes

Make it creamier by adding a splash of milk or a non-dairy alternative. Sweeten with honey or agave syrup if desired.
