- Step 1: Start by heating the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once it's hot, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Step 2: Next, toss in the thinly sliced beef. Cook it until browned, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
- Step 3: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Once combined, pour this mixture over the cooked beef and stir well to coat everything evenly. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Step 4: Now, stir in the chopped shiso leaves and remove the skillet from heat.
- Step 5: To serve, scoop the cooked rice into bowls and top each with the beef mixture. Garnish with the sliced green onions and sesame seeds if you're feeling fancy.
